The Real Target of The Sydney Saga

I went to American Eagle today and bought me some jeans. To be honest, I had never been to a store and never heard of Sydney Sweeney but I needed new pants for work and after hearing all the hoopla of “Nazis propaganda” I decided to go. I ended up with a nice pair of jeans for only fifty bucks and after seeing all the huge posters of her, I am quickly becoming a fan. Thanks to the woman who brought this to my attention. I don’t know her name but I know she has a nose ring.
So what’s all the fuss about? American Eagle made a pun on “jeans” using an attractive white model: “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.” And because she happens to have blue eyes and blonde hair it’s further evidence, according to the woke left, of AE promoting “Nazis propaganda,” “eugenics,” “cultural whiteness”—take your pick. Some are even using the company’s name “American” to back their argument, which really just reveals their disdain for the country.
Would there be any fuss at all if the model was any other race? Of course not. This is just another double standard in their identity politics. Only white people can be racists. And once again they can’t be intellectually honest with their accusations. A simple search revealed American Eagle is a big participant in the Pride movement celebrating it year round with a dedicated collection, they offer plus-sized products and promote plus-sized models, they have a sister company called Aerie that focuses on body positivity and inclusion, and both AE and Aerie have many models of diverse racial backgrounds. None of this is mentioned in any of the hit pieces now circulating.
But it’s never about the truth. It’s about pushing an ideology and delegitimizing anything that conflicts with it, regardless of how obvious the truth is like trying to make you believe a man is a woman and calling you a bigot if you disagree. That’s the real propaganda and the Sydney Sweeney saga is the same DEI bullshit. Models need to be plus-sized or non-white, preferably both. Featuring a skinny white girl with blonde hair and blue eyes—even if not done exclusively—is sheer blasphemy and unacceptable. But who is the ad made for? It’s made for straight men, particularly straight white men, who are the real target of the attack. How dare you like someone who embodies that Pamela Anderson type, old school American sexuality! This is what the woke left ultimately has a problem with.
