Relaunch

Pride & Joy is back after shutting down in 2020 due to COVID. To be honest, Pride & Joy has always been an infant brand that’s only been able to stay alive by having a job waiting tables. I guess you can say Pride & Joy has been more of a passion than an established business thus far. Two years ago, Gavin Newsom in California shut down restaurants and I lost the means to continue my passion. It was a bleak time for myself in general but the events that transpired, many continuing to this day, had really reminded me why I started Pride & Joy.

In 2020 the government took away my ability to work along with countless others across the country due to COVID restrictions. People who own or work in restaurants, bars, hair salons, nail salons, gyms and fitness centers, etc. etc. were all forced to shut down and lose their means to support themselves and their family. In my own neighborhood, some businesses never recovered and remain empty to this day. Some states even imposed stay-at-home orders and in California a surfer was actually arrested for simply being in the water.

Simultaneously, riots were taking place across the country in support of BLM and George Floyd. Countless businesses were being vandalized, looted, and destroyed. Many protestors or rioters were also burning the American Flag and throwing Molotov cocktails at police. And they, along with many shameless politicians, were demanding the defunding of our police.

These COVID mandates and riots along with all the ongoing absurdities such as vaccine compulsion, Big Tech censorship, Critical Race Theory, wokeism, mask mandates, transgenderism, etc. has fired up my passion for why I started Pride & Joy. I started Pride & Joy as a means of expressing my gratitude for the kind of life I have, which is the result of my family and country. And what has been transpiring recently is completely antithetical to what has made our country great. I have been blessed with a wonderful life here because of traditional values such as family, individual liberty, freedom to speak my mind, hard work, entrepreneurship; because of our police and our troops protecting our way of life. This is what Pride & Joy represents. It’s a brand for all those who share these same values.
